The masterful use of space creates a generous interior layout comprising an owner’s suite with king size berth plus three guest cabins. The full-width master stateroom enjoys abundant light from opening ports, hatches and four over-sized transom windows. The master bath has a marble vanity with two sinks and a roomy, separate stall shower.

Each of the two mirror-image guest cabins has two twin berths and an en-suite bathroom with marble counter tops and Corian floors in the showers. Storage is especially generous with many drawers, cabinets and large cedar-lined hanging lockers in the guest quarters as well as throughout the yacht.

A third, smaller guest cabin has a lower berth and a Pullman upper berth. This cabin’s marble-fitted bathroom is located directly across the hallway and serves as a day head. It has a shower with a Corian floor. The hot water system circulates continuously, providing instant hot water for the showers and wash basins. All hull ports are opening and every cabin has at least one air conditioning blower.

The deck salon features large windows for an all around view and a dining area that seats eight. The aft wrap-around windows are removable Perspex allowing an open air feeling in fine weather. Cabinets conceal a drink refrigerator, ice maker and wine cooler.

The helm station, fully equipped with navigation and communication electronics, includes controls for the captive winches, main engine and bow thruster. ERICA XI is very easy to sail thanks to Nirvana in-mast furling for both main and mizzen, powered by hydraulics.

The outside helm is perfectly positioned for excellent visibility over the pilothouse rooftop while underway.

The aft deck cockpit offers spacious open air dining with ample seating for eight guests. Special features include a refrigerator built into the drop leaf table and a stainless steel foot-rest rail around the base.

The hydraulic stern platform keeps the dinghy off the deck underway, then transforms to a sturdy stairway from the deck to the water at anchor or a passerelle at the dock.

Opposite the galley to port, the crew’s mess has seating for five crew, plus an entertainment center with TV/DVD and stereo.

Designed for safety underway, the U-shaped galley is fully equipped for ocean passages. Professional level appliances include three refrigerators, one front loading freezer and one top loading freezer. The counter-tops are dark black and gray granite. The engine room door opens aft of the crew mess.

Engine Room

Responding to the vision of the yacht’s owner, John Munford designed a traditional yet light interior of American cherry. The detailed raised-panel joinery is exquisitely crafted and finished.

Roller furling Doyle mainsail and headsails, and Sobstad Gennaker allow for easy sailing with minimal crew.
